We provide our guests one kayak and one paddleboard for their use at our private dock to explore Still Pond Creek.  There are also places to rent them at some nearby towns in the summer months.

Eastern Neck Island has nearly 2,300 acres of natural beauty cozied between the Chester River and the Chesapeake Bay.  With beautiful look out areas and miles of hiking this is a must visit place for your trip.

We have our own small private beach for guests to use down by the dock but there are also a few local beaches to explore.  There are 2 public beaches nearby Betterton Beach is about 10 mins away which in my opinion has one of the best sunsets around and Ferry Park Beach is located in Rock Hall about 20 mins away.

Located 10 mins from downtown Chestertown and the Washington College campus this is the perfect place for parents to stay when visiting your student at school!

Kent County Maryland is a beautiful place to host your wedding.  Wether you are looking for a waterfront location or countryside there are numerous locations and venues to choose from.

Chestertown Farmers & Artisans’ Market is located in the heart of downtown Chestertown, at Fountain Park on Saturday mornings from 8 am till Noon.

Explore the local shops of the downtown areas in the neighboring towns of Chestertown and Rock Hall. 

Enjoy local seafood and farm to table restaurants in several towns close to our retreat.  Waterfront dining can be found in Galena with the Fish Whistle and Deep Blue Kitty Night House with other great options in downtown Chestertown including The Kitchen and Watershed Alley.

Spend the day exploring the local waterways of the Chesapeake Bay with a boat rental for your stay.  Contact us for more details if you are interested in docking your boat at our dock during your stay.

Hopkins Game Farm offers deer hunts and a Sporting Clays course.  There are also several other Hunting Outfitters that Book hunts for whitetail deer and waterfowl here on the Eastern Shore.

Spend your day exploring the Chesapeake Bay on a Fishing Charter, or your evening on a Sunset and Dinner Cruise.  Choose from the many local fishing charters and boat rentals in near by Chestertown, Galena, or Rock Hall.  Or if you are just looking for fishing gear and bait check out Hooked on the River located in Chestertown.

Nightlife & Bars

During the Spring and Summer months the local area is full of fun at the local waterfront bars.  Some of our favorites to check out are The Shanty Beach Bar and the decks at The Fish Whistle and Deep Blue at Kitty Knight House. There’s nothing better than listening to a local band on a starry night out on a waterfront deck!

The 9-hole “Great Oak Landing Marina” course at the Great Oak Landing Golf Course facility in Chestertown, Maryland features 3,244 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 60.
